Game Crashing, but still loaded?
I've been having an issue lately where the game will randomly crash at any point in a match. I could be walking, fighting, or...like last time, 20 seconds left on my exit timer with 7 hunter kills and 2 boss tokens...GRRrrrrr.

The screen freezes, I can't do anything, but hear the last bit of sounds on loop. I can alt-tab out, and see the task bar, but can't manage to bring any window up as Hunt.frozen.exe gets placed ontop of anything I bring up. Meanwhile, in game my character starts walking in a straight line, agroing monsters or running at speeds faster than an Immolator (buddy was laughing that 2 of them couldn't catch up to me).

I try ctrl-alt-esc and del, but hunt window overrides them. So I hit the start button and sign-out. Then a violation error pops up, click okay, and then log back into windows.

What is causing this crash? I never had this during beta and it has only been happening in the past month or so?

Please fix or I can't play anymore. I went 6 games back to back with crashes in them. That means zero progress and lost time. Very frustrating.

Having the same problem for 2 months, in 3/1 games my game crash and I couldn't find a solution for that.

if u crash in the extraction the match still counts and u wont lose the hunter. When it crashes and the hunt showdown window stays in focus press windows key + tab and open task manager on your second desktop to manually close it. Make sure your drivers are updated and that you're not running some unstable overclock.

The problem is, my character keeps running, or walking, or doing what he last did. So he ran out of the extraction zone. I don't get the win for that. The windows key + tab also doesn't work as hunt takes over every window and places itself on top. I can pull up the view to see which window I will select, but once I release, it places hunt on top as active.

()_*#@$&(#*&$(*(#$(*.

It did it again... 3 minutes left on the server. We were at the exit with 18 seconds left... Freeze. Can't move, nothing responds. Game hangs. I can alt tab, but can't bring any other windows to the forefront. Hunt just freezes. My toon runs out of the zone with his neck bent like a dead chicken and I get 0 XP for 1 hour of play time....getting on my nerves1

Correction... logged in, it said my character was lost... but then loaded the XP screen with all the points I should have gotten. Now I have that toon, and it has 11k xp...

Okay so! Recovered that Toon, 46... just played another 1 hour.. killed 3 hunters, crashed at 15 left.

Another crash! Thanks, no crash report. Nothing to tell you.

Are you having the same problem as your email is lost for that reason everything and nothing responds and then a desktop appears and an error message often someone can help?

Make sure you are not overclocking anything, CPU, Video card and Memory. Be sure to disable XMP to make memory run at default speeds. I had all sorts of crashes until I disabled XMP and then they went away.
Foodri Apr 30, 2020 @ 8:59pm
and how could you do that?
dvair Apr 30, 2020 @ 9:04pm
XMP settings are in your BIOS they make the memory run at high clock speeds.

Also are you asking OP if he needs help? This thread is rather old. Or do you need help with crashes?

disabling XMP o.O - giving away bandwith especially in a game that is really CPU speed dependent like this one?

I would rather advice you to read on forums how to set up your RAM proper, instead of telling others to disable the XMP profile.
Nearby every modern CPU can handle the typical XMP RAM settings - except you run really high speed RAM and the IMC of your CPU, or your Mainboard cannot handle it.
Mostly you haven´t set the correct VDIMM, or you got a faulty IMC or not enough voltage on it.

dvair plz - before giving advice like that, get yourself into the matter and don´t tell some thing you have literally no clue about.

To the topic of crashes - some of you might test if your CPU is stable at high AVX loads. If its not, either set a lower AVX Multiplier or increase VCore until the system gets stable (if you got proper cooling)

I used MSI afterburn to underclock my 1080ti down to 95% power level. Due to the way the game is designed, it doesn't use any of my graphics card, so I don't see any difference in frames. Now the crashing is also gone.
