Favorite Loadouts
I still consider myself a Hunt beginner at 100 hours in, and I’m curious what everyone’s favorite weapons/ builds are. Not just the “meta” but what you actually enjoy running.

I got stuck on Vetterli bayonett/Pax with fanning as a budget loadout for a long time. Feeling ballsy, I’ll do the same but with a Mosin.

Recently trying shotguns, Crown and King (or Specter) with Uppercut as an expensive but fun one.

Anyway, what’s your favorites? Anyone use quartermaster? I still haven’t once, there’s so much to experiment with in this game.

If I go for a shotgun load out, it usually ends up being a Specter with a bayonet, followed up by either a Bornhiem extended/regular, or a Pax. I love the crown and king but I really feel like it's a bit overpriced for what you get, the Specter is really underrated In my opinion.

If I go rifle, It's usually a Mosin, though I've been leaning a bit more towards the Lebel recently. Once again followed up with a Bornhiem, it might not have stopping power of other pistols but the firerate has proved more than enough to make up for it's low damage to me.

I've also been using the Sparks Silenced a lot recently and had some good luck with it, it's a beast at medium range, and without a muzzle flash giving away your position, can be pretty devastating if you get the drop on the enemy players.

I need to give the Bornheim a chance. I win a bunch of Quickplays with the Dolch, but I hate running it in Bounty because of limited ammo (and price). I always run fanning with a pistol and the Bornheim would save me those trait points for something else because it’s already fast (& accurate). I get killed by Bornheims a good bit. I think I’m trading hits but that firerate moves faster than you expect

Winnie + Bornhiem Extended is fun, pew pew. Anything with silenced nagat + fanning, pew pew but silent ^^. Lebel + Lemat with fanning is prolly my fav, and it's good to boot.

I got so attached to running Pax or Uppercut I haven’t played with the Lemat. I think it’s one of the “prettiest” guns in the game. Love the way it looks. There’s so much stuff I still need to mess with. I’ve been spending my time trying to get good at shooting but not really playing around with the arsenal

i always try to balance my hunter for all situations. when i for example have a winfield or a shotgun i go with a uppercut as my ranged weapon. when i got for a mosin then ill pick a bornheim/dolch.

Sparks uppercut best <3

If you’re good at landing your shots, Sparks is hard to beat. I’m just not great at landing all my shots yet haha. But the Uppercut does a good job covering your medium range quickly if you miss. And long range, it takes a while to even know where the shot came from half the time. If I die running through a field, it’s usually to a Sparks I never saw.

Bomb lance with Mosin-Nagant Obrez (with Quartermaster trait).
Comrade Squidward Oct 23, 2019 @ 6:30pm
for value: Vetterli + nagant officer.
For Anal destruction: Mosin or lebel + dolch or extended Bornheim.

What this guy said. Quartermaster can be good for certain load-outs like that. The bomb lance is great at close range but users are crippled at medium and long ranges. Therefore, I too get quartermaster and pair it with a Mosin Nagant Obrez whenever I can.

Quartermaster is also handy for the Bornheim Match and Dolch Precision if you don't want to equip them as primary weapons but would like a more accurate sidearm as reserve.

I too became accustomed to the Vetterli due to how cheap it is and the decent damage it has. I dislike the iron sights so I get the Deadeye one.

I often pick the cavalry saber as my secondary weapon and charge players when they're distracted and/or least expect it. I often pair it with a long-range weapon like the Veterrli, Lebel, or Mosin Nagant.

As for traits, I always get Greyhound, Lightfoot, and Packmule. Silent Killer is great as it makes sure your hunter doesn't yell in a stupid fashion whenever you need to use your melee weapon, though it's not cheap.

I’ve yet to use Bomblance at all. I wouldn’t even know where to begin with it haha. But I like melee a lot. I run saber sometimes (with Mosin) and it has to be the most satisfying way to kill a hunter ive found yet. I never got super accurate with it, but against players too bewildered to side step it’s hilarious. ESPECIALLY when they run. It’s def my favorite melee weapon. Axe is powerful but kind of slow and consumes stamina fast. I land the saber way more.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. The weapons in Hunt are probably some of my favorite in a shooter ever. I actually think they are all balanced really well too. You see a lot of different setups out in the swamp :)

Crossbow and Romero Hatchet.

Bad at range but really fun for invades and sneaking around in general.

I like good Allrounder like:
Caldwell/crown&King + pax
Mosin/lebel + lemat/pax+fanning
Mosin/Level + quatermaster + sawn off shotgun
Avtomav + uppercut
Bomblance + uppercut/dolch(precision)

There’s some fun loadouts in here!

Crown and King and Uppercut has become my recent go-to when I want to run a shotgun. Does anyone know if the Specter bayonet’s range is still nerfed compared to the regular Specter 1882? I hate that. Bayonet is one of my fav attachments but the specters spread is already a bit loose without the bayonet nerf. I’d run that all the time otherwise

Caldwell Double Barrel + Uppercut
Vetterli + Bornheim / Pax (fanning)
Lebel + Uppercut

I am not the biggest fan of Quartermaster, I can't trust those tiny shotguns, but I still play Mosin/Lebel + sawn off double barrel sometimes.

crossbow + any revolver. In terms of equipent: knife + firstaid kit + blank fire decoys and vitality shot. It's a cheap build but really fun, if you like stealty plays.
