why does this thing say 200 damage but cant even kill a grunt when not shot in the torso? thought this would one shot hunters in close range

Killed tons of grunts today with it (trying to get to crossbow), never failed me. But, mind the distance.

it will one shot grunts and hunters to the torso provided you are close enough. If you don't get the one shot it's likely that the bolt hit their arm which is still fine provided you can keep up the pressure and take advantage of the bleed it causes

200 damage at 10 m. Damage fall off is rather quick though.

All crossbows (except the ones with special ammunition, depending on how you use them) are rather close-range weapons. You can one-hit another hunter with a hit in the torso, but after about 10-15m the dmg drops rather quickly.

all crossbow are basicly trash, the only good one is shotbolt but it's a pain to unlock.

I found the shotbolt easy to unlock, but have never used it because i love the normal one <3

I think the normal Crossbow is really good for stealth kill especially with the fast reload trait, carry it with a pax or uppercut for medium encounter

crossbows are all niche weapons that work really well until people start trying to medium range fire.

Mhh, i got the Crossbow after 4 rounds of playing Handcrossbow and the Shotbold after 2 Rounds. Dunno whats the problem. Just kill everything all the time with the Crossbow in a Round and you get it.

the only conceivable way you got the Shotbold in only two rounds is if you killed half of the map or almost every hunter in the round

In both claims actually -that they are all trash and that shotbolt is good.

Playing crossbows a lot now and classic crossbow proves a lot better due to arrow speed, dropoff and usability for monster killing.

What sucks are hand versions and explosive one which is just for memes since not even a body hit kills.

In both claims actually -that they are all trash and that shotbolt is good.

explosive is only good for killing monsters imo, Shotbolt is the ultimate meme machine and the normal Crossbow is usefull for pretty much anything you might need

Explosive for monsters? At that pointand with nine arrows you might as well shoot guns. It makes loads of noice...
