Or did the title in our Libraries under News mean to read, "Small update, huge patch"?

I 100% agree with this. Imbalance is necessary and precisely what makes the races both unique and lore consistent. It's what makes the game interesting, immersive and replayable. In terms of gameplay, this should be incentive to develop strategies that leverage your race's/faction's unique strengths, not force balance by some backdoor means (like feats or hidden systems that subtly equalise the races into a copy-paste-with-a-different-face as the game progresses).

does this mean brittania might be playable again? feels like cav has been so underpowered since i first started

Game keeps chrashing during fort and gate battles. Please fix.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ patch. 100% unneeded, especially in this size. Files got rearranged and now the game's acting out.

I recommend sticking to the old patch. Just go to the Beta Branch and spare yourself of this nonsense.

I also recommend NOT purchasing TWH 3 until we see how it plays. If it's more of these bright ideas, ♥♥♥♥ off. Not like there are any interesting races there(ok, brand new like Cathay MIGHT be ok).

edit: Also, if you revert, you can't play Grom. But if you keep to the live version, his chariots are TRASH. Heh, lose / lose. :)

I'm pretty sure you can't? The only option is to "only update this game when I launch it" which...would still update the game.

the option to launch steam games without update is long gone

same as the "blocking" on steam in which they now still see u playing and everything steam has only changed bad over the time

too late for that now, seen that fancy survival mode? oh gee whiz I can't wait! be so cool in co-op on the Epic store...because I'm a pleb who doesn't own the other two games or supported TW as a franchise for decades so I need shiny things to distract me as opposed to effort and time being put into ME at launch for next game.

Yup, but while we're at it let's re-invent the wheel for how EVERYTHING in the game charges to fix a single combat role's lacklustre performance, when all they need to do is up the mass a little and maybe speed as well.
