I tell him to use his arrow, he stops attacking, shrugs for a few seconds, doesn't fire an arrow.

Fix your trash programming before you nerf anything.
Not entirely. Yes, Steam patching process works exactly that, but most of the other 'fat' games (read: devs) handles this process way better than CA.
That's because Alith Anar is hot garbage, as a unit. His benefit comes from the fact that he can field what is arguably the best range unit in the game on the cheap, and as a 20 stack of just that unit can decimate anything from obnoxiously long range with poison slows and movement while firing. (Edit: Also from stealth.) But he as a unit? He's awful. The only other benefit I've found for Alith Anar is the ambush chance but he himself doesn't actually do much in fights at all. Unfortunately because of how absurdly strong an entire army of Shadow-walkers is, that alone makes him insanely broken. His start isn't 'hard' when you can make a full stack of a t3 unit that beats literally everything in the game. Markus on the other hand could not only snipe characters (which was a bit strong, granted), but he could affect the field of battle as well. He had a net to snare groups of enemies, actively engage and effect combat with damage to groups of enemies, and had utility. Alith Anar just kinda... Sits there and fires obnoxiously slow arrows that kill one, MAYBE two units per shot and summon a clone.
I enjoyed Markus being strong and agreed that he should be nerfed, but these nerfs are dropping his power by more than half, and now he hits like wet paper and really doesn't do a lot in battles. He's a legendary lord, which is to be fair hard to balance, but aren't those lords supposed to be strong? I would have been fine with nerfing Executioner because it was just ridiculous damage and bypassed shields (I've tested this, the damage is the same on shielded and non-shielded units with the same armor value), but nerfing his entire kit in one go seems excessive to me. Those nerfs need to be rolled out over time until you find a good middle ground instead of one giant sweeping change that turns what was, in my personal opinion, finally a fun ranged bow lord to play that could actually do something effective in battles. In comparison, other ranged bow lords do honestly very little in battles and it makes you wonder why you even bring them to battles at all when you could just have a melee lord that could tank the entire enemy army, create chokepoints, and do all this while dishing out more damage and effect on the battle than any ranged lord in the game. Or a wizard lord like Morathi that can route armies with 1-2 spells, Pit of Shades and Soul Stealer, and the like.
Also, to add here I'm not trying to shoot down people's ideas, that's just my take on the situation. My opinion is just that, an opinion, and everyone is entitled to their own.
