Got any other cool fantasy strategy games to recommend?

I'm getting a bit tired of Warhammer 2 and looking for other strategy games to play. I really enjoy RTS games, and I've played a lot of turn-based strategy games like HOMM. Pennon and Battle. I prefer games with a magical fantasy theme. Any recommendations？

Not turn based, but "classic" RTS with base building and unit production - Warcraft 3 Reforged (remaster)

Warcraft is directly inspired by Warhammer, Same as Ashan from newer Homan

The first that come to mind (and to keep this short)

Age of Wonders 3. I hear 4 is also good but am a long way from jumping on board yet.

Warhammer: Mark of Chaos/Battlemarch

Some TW games, I've lost track of which tbh, do have LotR mods.

Can't think of any others offhand/before more coffee lol... though I do share a lot of the same genre with sci-fi settings, which weren't asked for.

One more before I go... fantasy and HoMM adjacent... Might&Magic: Clash of Heroes. Deceptively simple gameplay but worth not overlooking especially for being short session friendly. I've been playing this one on and off ever since the og on the Nintendo DS.

Have you played Dominions? Worth considering if you haven't. Kind of on the other end of the spectrum re:graphics from TW.

I have Endless Legend it is pretty good.

I second Endless Legend. Highly recommended by critics and players.

Endless Legend is excruciatingly slow, as far as I remember animations can't be sped up so every turn is a slog to go through.

For recommendations I can say the Age of Wonders franchise. It's over 20 years old but it's still going strong. The first one is an absolute classic, but if that's too old for you then the newest one (4) is playable enough.
