Advice for Markus wulfhart vortex campaign?
I'm about 50 turns in playing at h/m only buy I'd like to know some tips and strategies I could use. It seems there is a bit of nuance to the campaign.

I have secured 3 provinces but they are at barely tier 2 and the starting one at t3.

I'm planning on building walls just about everywhere, with only a few regions concentrating on troops.

However I'd like to know, how should I be dealing with the dinos, which troops should I be using, more importantly which formations, etc.

So far I have been fine but had a few close encounters. The Frontline just seems to melt and I'm having some trouble gauging how much melee I exactly need.

The most troublesome part is when the enemy army had a whole lot of melee. They just overrun my lines.

I've been getting artillery support + 1 cav but only have 1 unit of hell storm battery and the great cannon which doesn't seem very useful.

Early-mid game Dinos? Whichever gives the Grenade Outriders. Get them. A lot.

Melee with early-mid game builds should be like about half, maybe 7-8. Rest ranged or a rare cavalry for anti-ranged.

Outriders with grenade launcher are anti infantry, melee imperial units are useless all. That's one of the worst advices I've ever seen, unless you are trolling. Lol

Grenade outriders kill everything that doesn't fly. And basic out riders kill dinos.

Light wizards with overcasted net works wonders. Mob up their melee, overcast net to trap half their army then hit them with artillery and or spells. The Empire has pathetically weak infantry. You should be taking out half their army with artillery and skirmishers before they even reach your front line otherwise your front line will get crushed.

Well. I tend to find huntsmen to be most useful in this campaign. The Dinos that will cause you problems tend to be large. Huntsmen are anti-large. Two of your unique campaign heroes provide huge buffs to missile units. Second point. Get your campaign special heroes ASAP. They're very useful and increase your renown or w/e the mechanic is called. That means you'll get better imperial supplies faster.
Yeah it's a tough campaign. Starting in the Lustria thunderdome really doesn't help; and the terrible Faction mechanic just makes your life even harder. Just aggro on one faction after another, and leave an army around your starting position for when the Nakai army spawns.

Dinos seems like a substitute for "Lizardmen" here. And I'm not even going to engage any further with the rest of that quality post.
