Report a translation problem
Have EXACTLY the same problem playing Malagor.
Having spent 1200 Dread to get Taurox, quest is ticked (recruited at rank 9 and some spectacularly poor skill choices by the AI, LOL), no Axes to select, no way of doing whatever the quest requirements are. Nothing.
This update seems to have all sorts of quality control failures, somewhat typical of CA. Hell, I didn't buy a TW game from the disgrace on launch that was Empire until Warhammer 1 came along as I'd got SO sick of their garbage quality assurance record.
Finding the 'Dread' counter either is inaccurate, too, or just plain broken. It's never said anything about earning Dread from razing settlements no matter when/where, for example.
Also doesn't seem to report Dread you've earned from a battle where you were attacked by the AI. While technically correct it wasn't earned 'this turn', I would have thought it ought to be reporting it regardless.
Why not show the total earned on the LAST turn, from the time the player completes all their actions that allegedly earn Dread PLUS any further earned from victories earned where the AI attacks any of the player's armies?
Seems a bit slap-dash and lazy.
I suppose it's a case of wait a month and see if they fix anything.
Won't hold my breath given the strategic map still makes my video card go into orbit, lol, and that's been around forever.
Bought it on discount for very little, so no big deal. Just confirms my policy of never to buy anything from pretty much any 'AAA' publisher until it's heavily discounted, even if it takes a year or more to happen.
I saved Dread like mad to get Malagor early on because as stated above AI has terrible skill choices.

I'd say a mod conflict at the very least. Running total Vanilla at the moment.
(Some awesome mods for quest items when they get updated by the way!)
It's confederation if their faction is still alive
And it gives them to you at their death lvl if they are already out.
How else would you implement it? They are all in ME and are controlled by AI as separate factions. So if they are alive, it has to be a confederation.
If you wait till they are wiped out or get them when they are wounded, you can redeploy em where ever you want.
If you want to redeploy them after confederation just get them killed and recruit them once they are ready again. As beastmen you don't really care about defending regions once ritual is done. You only do it to see the whole world burn, but after ritual you can just leave area and move to next you don't gain anything substatial from ritual performed Stones.
