And yes you can use vault's hammer, it gives all armies the siege attacker trait.
You can know which units allow you to launch the attack because they have the ability "siege attacker" in their unit cards.
Ugg! I’m unable to build monsters, artillery in the region I’m in. It’ll be a long march home I guess.
Does anyone happen to know of a resource that might explain how to avoid these mistakes? I try to read whatever information is available as various screens pop up but I’m pretty certain nothing like that has appeared telling me this might be an issue. I’m sure there is in some 3 hour video or manual but if there’s something more concise that’d be **very** helpful. There’s tons of stuff on how to fight battles but not much that I’ve found about the strategic/campaign stuff.
Thank you again for the help!
Also, thanks for responding to the earlier question!
I think it depends on your army size (not sure about this), but a full stack should be able to build 1 battering ram in 1 turn.
The odds and auto-resolve on sieges are incredibly pessimistic, the AI is terrible at actually defending a siege and will just stand around while you shoot his men. Given a well configured full stack there are few siege battles you can't win if you fight manually, but very few the auto-resolve will give you decent odds on. Once you start the battle then the balance of power is more geared towards the strength of the army rather than the fact it's a siege.
