How many hours do you have in Total War?
I just added all mine up and its 22,498 hours. I wish I could add up my hours before 2009, but I didn't have Steam.

Steam doesnt keep accurate track of play time. Steam says I am just over 10,000 hours with WH2, but my Radeon graphics has that count at almost 26,000. I can show you screens of playing a game where I have played an all nighter totaling say 36 hours, it is recorded, but close the game and it resetes to only an hour played sometimes. All of warhammer, about 28,000. All of total war and I have no way to count Medieval, Rome, and Medieval 2 as none of those were put on Steam until after Empire.

Honestly don't know I only recently started playing more in online mode before that I mostly played in offline mode or in the case of the older ones Medieval 2 and Rome 1, I used the discs for years before buying the digital versions on STEAM.

Be in the low thousands I guess somewhere between 2 - 4 thousand, could easily be more.

Are you really saying you’ve played THREE YEARS of Warhammer TW?

28,000 hours = 1,166 days = 3 years

You can’t be serious…

Over the series... thousands for sure. Couldn't say exactly, and Steam numbers wouldn't count for a few but... tens of thousands? 10000 plus anyway.
What I can say for sure is the earlier titles, up to Shogun 2 got the lions share of hours in... with the first four the most again of those.

Medieval 2 I know I did upwards of a thousand hours vanilla, same again in TATW mod, and was still playing that like it was sliced bread's successor in 2012 (it's certainly my most played game ever, seconded only by Company of Heroes 1 which I was also playing hard 6 years after launch) Medieval 1 also played still after Rome 1 launched and 1000 hours easily. Rome 1 was still getting time in by 2010.

No other games/IP's, even series taken as a whole, have come close to that early/old madness and love... not even TW games since Shogun 2. Different times though, while I had significantly lesser hardware then (even comparatively) the games still ran well, I was younger and had less going on irl etc.

Warhammer 1 : 100 hours.
Warhammer 2 : 12000 hours
Warhammer 3 : 100 hours.

I’m sorry, but if you’re putting in tens of thousands of hours into a single game over a 5 - 10 year period and it’s not the ONLY game you play, or you’re not a hardcore modder constantly play-testing stuff or you’re not a streamer making money off it…something’s wrong.

Across all Steam TW games I have maybe 2,000 hours between Empire and Warhammer 3. You could possibly add another…500 - 600 hours on that if we’re going back and counting Shogun to Medieval 2.

My single most played game is Skyrim coming in at 750 hours played between 2011 and 2017-18.

Gaming has been an enjoyment of mine for like 20 years now and probably if I had to wager how much total time I’ve spent playing games in my life it might be between 20,000 and 40,000 hours.

I don’t understand how it’s even possible that some of you are clocking between that in a single game/series in less than a decade.

Do you not sleep? Eat? Go to school? Work? Go on vacation? Have families? Friends? Ever leave your room? Have any responsibilities at all?

Ya’ll are either greatly exaggerating your playtimes or you need to step back and take a good look at your lives.

warhammer 1 900
warhammer 2 4000
warhammer 3 0

4000 total but that's just of the games I have on here. I'd guess it's probably double that, maybe a bit less, accounting for Medieval 2 (which I have on here but 99% of my playtime wasn't on steam), Medieval 1, Rome 1 and Shogun 1.

Yeah that does seem ridiculous... the series has only been out for a bit under 6 years. 3 years (over 3 years actually) means you've played (over) 12 hours a day, every day, since the release of Warhammer 1. If you've done anything else besides play Total War Warhammer for the last 6 years (so job, family, friends, holidays, any other hobbies etc.) then it doesn't seem achievable.

Homebound service connected disabled veteran who is also 70% bedridden and 30% wheelchair bound. I would also say that is more like over 2 years playing and the remainder in depth modding (mostly not shared). Hours, days, weeks, months, and years are things of which I have plenty to fill.

Ah... I would delete my comment but that'd seem a bit cowardly so I'll just apologise... so yeah my apologies.

I wasn't the person who originally asked the question; I was the one who responded in a way which I now see was really quite insensitive. Thanks for being a good sport about it anyway. Have some points... least I can do really.
