Autoresolve for Vampire is in most cases a loss?
Just checking if anyone experience this as well. I love playing Vampire Counts, but I'm just so tired of having to play all battles myself. Auto-Resolve typically tells me I'd lose, but if I play it I easily win, its almost like auto-resolve dont understand how to play Vampire counts. I'm not cheesing, just using zombies/skeletons as front and just flank with whatever else and I win

My theory is Vampire count units are just inferior, but since they can summon units so easily it evens out, but I guess that means I'll have to fight the battles

Yes, I have to manually fight most battles as VC, their AR is terrible because the AI doesn't take magic into account, it unreasonably weights armour and it assumes you'll just trade face to face rather than flanking.
Some factions get appalling auto-resolve, others get insanely good auto-resolve. Vampires (both kinds) are the former, unless you have a hero ball army or a few other kinds or army.

auto resolve - undead and yes
units are weaker? yes and no. you have to know what units actually do what you want them to do. zombies and skellies are just fodder and they do that exactly

i noticed in my lizardmen campaign that the auto resolve for the very first battle against a few human units was always a defeat but when i manually did the battle it was a decisive victory. i just had a battle where the autoresolve stated itd be a crushing defeat but when i actually took the battle manually i lost 1 unit of melee units versus the enemy losing 16 whole units. id just play em out if it says youre gonna get whipped.

thats because it factors leadership armor melee stats do you have artillery or not and ranged units.

if you look at
-leadership
-armor
-sheilded or not
-armor piercing or magic
-4 calvary for 4 ranged
-anti infantry for spears

you can instantly see if auto resolve will win or not if it looks about even you can look at the melee atk and melee defence and see that way.

the entire reason undead are bad auto resolve is
-mid leadership
-low armor
-crumbling on low leadership
- no ranged units even though things like wolves and bats slaughter ranged units the weight is bad.

then you have warfire throwers that get stupid weight for the player.
