Disbanding Armies
Is it the norm or wise to disband armies if you're at peace and the upkeep for the army is high? I'm playing as Sylvania. I have three armies mostly of free skeletons but I have one army filled with grave guards and the like that require upkeep. If I disband the army, I'll receive an additional 2500 funds per turn which at this stage is a substantial amount.

Not generally a good idea to disband units that are at levels you can't replace.

You should not ever be aiming to be at peace. The point of the game is war, once you've eliminated a target you should be choosing the next one. You should plan ahead in terms of dissolving treaties such that you're ready for your next conquest immediately after the current.

Nah. Peace is good for business. Peace = good money = lots of growth = big armies = victory.

Always try to choose peace until you are powerful enough to never have need of it again.

Nonsense - War = Profit.
You can get far more money killing armies than you will save on troop replacements and upkeep. Unless you're really struggling with the battles and fully losing many troops.

The only time I disband armies is when I confederate and I get a bunch of armies that I don't need and cost too much.

Yep the armies you tend to get on confederation tend to be hot garbage any way. Especially empire one's.
