I like it. The issue with the elvish starting locations is that there is never a real reason to go to the Old world. You are stuck mostly fighting dark elves and whichever new world faction you decide to declare war on. Having one start in the dragon isles is a great position, and changes up the entire experience since your main roadblock would be Skaven, greenskins, and dwarves, not to mention the strigoi kingdom in the badlands now (that hopefully manages to expand out of their swamp from time to time)

Yes this location is amazing... finally new enemies to fight! Not sure what climate settings he has though... since most of that area is mountains he maybe need push along the bottom instead of up towards the dwarfs and empire so it could be turd
He has mountains as favoured climate, being from Caledor and all.

If that's the case then RIP dawi (atleast in my campaigns). Those sweet mines are gonna be my first target. War of the beards 2.0

I did hear on a youtube video that after a certain point, you can confederate Caledor instantly and spawn him back there. Or something.

I didn't know that... Sounds like a very interesting mechanic and would like to see this happen for more factions that are far removed from their natural homelands. Will give it a try!

Nothing for now. He means Wood Elves would have been even better for him.

OK, let me ask you one thing devs.
How do you imagine taming a dragon? You do not tame a dragon to ride it, you form a bond with it, companionship. Beating the snot out of a dragon is not the thing you need to do for that. How do you even tame a creature whose intelligence and pride is several times greater than yours?
Even Caledor Dragontamer has his title as more of a regal monicker. Yes, he was an archmage with strong affinnity with dragons, but he had not "tamed" even a single one.
Also Balck Dragon? They were breed to be loyal and subservient to their master. But that master is a person who hatched an egg and grew that said dragon. The rest of the people for that dragon are lowly bugs and probably meat. Given how overblown is their sense of ego is due to dark magic tampering, they are even less possible to tame when mature.

Caledor didn't tame dragons indeed, he was viewed by the dragons as being their equal, which is a phenomenon that happened only twice in the warhammer history; but from an external point of view normal peoples would not see it like that, as he went and came back with the support of the dragons in battle, so they viewed it as him having "tamed" them.
And yeah you don't tame them by beating them. Maybe those battles should be considered more as a "trial" from the dragon to see if the elves are worthy of their temporary support or not.
After all, after the "hunt" ends succesfully, it's not like those dragons are accepting a rider, they just join the army to help.

How do naked dwarfs with axes slay dragons on their own? Its a fantasy world my boi! Anything is possible! Even alliances with dwarf vrs skaven!

Yes, this sound plausible. But there is still a problem with black dragon. I doubt it will ever offer a help to anyone, least of all a high elf.
There is also a Forest Dragon. Forest Dragons are specifically native to Athel Loren. High elves who enter Athel Loren do not have good end usually, even though they are not killed directly.

What are they doing to the Wood Elves?

Already answered, but still nothing for now. I'm just griping. Wood Elves were a $20 DLC at release that has gotten absolutely no updates since their intro in TWW1 aside from a few new pockets of neutral factions and the anniversary RoRs that everyone else also got. They languish with 2 LLs while Bretonnia has 4 or 5 and has had two major overhauls. Combine with all the love Skaven, Dark/High Elves, VC, Empire and now Orcs are getting, and I feel like the Asrai are the kids getting picked last for kickball. I know someone has to be last, but it's frustrating.

I've been dying to play them in ME, but the current amber campaign mechanic makes it brutal, and the mods out there now just don't feel quite right for me.

Soccer/Baseball kicking a rubber ball roughly the size of a soccer ball played by school children but with the rules of baseball (3 bases and home), of which the nerdy/overweight children are usually chosen last, a very cliche thing in movies and shows. Dont know why I typed all of this out, but enjoy
