Towards Paladin traits: I'm sorry, I can't answer that.
This mod has all the vanilla traits a lord or hero can have:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1354363361&searchtext=lord+creation
And there a few mods that tweak bonus traits.
There is only enough room for six traits total and you are given a certain number of points. You get a basic two points and have to take negative traits in order to get more. The basic abilities you randomize through are all two point abilities. Many of those have four point versions which are more powerful. Likewise abilities such as 'unbreakable' or 'regeneration' also cost four points.
In order to min-max, you have to select the +7 and +5 negative traits, which will end up making your monster character cost at least at least 16,000g extra to recruit. Those take up two of your six slots, leaving you able to take a single two point trait, and three four point traits if you are creating a juggernaught or supermage.
For example, I was roleplaying a bit and "recruited" Haerrieth (Saphery) after defeating her. I wanted to make her the leader of the Sea Guard and say that after defeat she pledged loyalty and was given the Horn of Isha: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2227137580
As you can see, she has Tactician (2) as a leader. Hawkeye (4) to help her snipe large targets or heroes as an archer/mage princess. As Captain of the Sea Guard, Ardent (4) and Efficient (4). The point cost is listed on the side. The thing that really costs are stats such as armor, speed, attack ect. If you fill those up, the character will cost around 50K. In this case she's worth every bit because the upkeep for my Sea Guard with shields, on very hard, with five armies increasing upkeep ... is 35g per unit.
You can just choose a single trait and portrait and pay the normal price. You can create absolute monsters. You can even create a character that costs a lot but has nothing but bad traits. So if you feel the price is under cost, you can tack on a negative effect to punish yourself, or make them more expensive -without- adding any more positive traits, or go play X-Com or Mordheim if you feel the need to punish yourself.
IMO; No, it's not worth farming. You can easily get +10 Leadership, +5 MD MA, 15% missile resistance, or 5% ward save, they're all pretty good and equally useful.
+10 Bonus vs Large is nice, but just a bit more situational. I recommend re-naming that guy so you can use his speciality.
