...as for the decent troops (Archers, Nehekrahran warriors, and more), they have a recruitment cap based on the number of buildings. The standard barracks lvl 2 (I think) allows 2 archers. This cap is determined by the total across your empire, so it can be worth building more barracks etc in every settlement....
Oh and important; chariots. first 50+ turn every settlement should have chariots building. destroy the lame infantry building that is only semi good for its overpriced tier 3 infantry. chariots are murder machines on wheels, the building is very cheap and they can be recruited in a single turn
All units for tomb kings are free so they have a cap mechanics instead. All units except skeleton spearmen and skeleton warriors are capped and you need to build more buildings to be able to hire more of them in your armies.
Building that lets you recruit skeleton archer at level 1 allows you to recruit four of them. On level 2 two Nehekhara warriors are added. On level 3 two tomb guards, one tomb guards (halberds) and two more archers are added.
Time to recruit from global queue is double the time to recruit from local but it can be reduced with the final research and by building 10 or more buildings that let you recruit that unit (each 10 buildings reduce time required to recruit from global queue by 1 turn). Skeleton warriors and spearmen were moved to the main settlement chain this means that you can recruit them from global queue in just 1 turn after you capture 10 settlements.
