Reliability drops from declaring war without any "remaining turns" after breaking treaty
So I think the title explains a lot already. My reliability drops from very high to low after declaring war on another faction. I have previously had treaties with this faction, but the diplomacy no longer displays the "you need to wait x turns..." message. Yet, still my reliability drops from this action. The faction is of the same race as I am (both lizardmen), is this something that can matter? I really don't know what to do here.

Any mutual allies?

I think this might be the problem, yes. They have an ally where I have military access to. I really thought I cancelled all treaties with this ally of them many turns ago.., but the military access seems to still stand active. I also cannot cancel that treaty for some reason.

But did that ally join war?

Their ally where I have military access to joins them in the war, yes.

Ye that's probably the cause. You're breaking treaties by them join your enemy.

But then why can I not cancel my treaties with their ally?

If you're at war they should already be broken.

I mean before I declare the war that drops my reliability from very high to low.

You can't cancel the military access with them before the war? No idea.

Hmm, that's too bad. Well anyway, thanks for your help.

Are you sure you canceled all treaties with them? Not only Defensive or Military alliance but Trading and Military access included. If there was no "remaining turns" message but you still lost reliability this shows that you still had some treaties. Probably.

I am not sure that ally deciding to join them in a war against you counts as breaking the threaty. It may be possible though, but I never checked this case so maybe there is an easier explanation.

There's a "sometimes this happens" glitch where if you DO NOT cancel the Military Access pact before breaking any alliances, you cannot then cancel that pact. There's no rhyme or reason to it, and the devs have yet to find a way to fix it, so always break Military Access pacts before any alliances to avoid this problem.

I've had this before, no idea why, all I could think of is that I was very well liked by the faction I was declaring war on but lets face it diplomacy in TW2 is just awful.

Oh well, I was about to start a new campaign anyway. But good to know this. I'll make sure that I take this into account in my new campaign.
