Mix of High and Ultra settings with max unit size.
Usually its stable around 60 FPS but can drop to the low 40s in very big battles.
Yeah i have Antialiasing turned off, dont really need it at my monitor size in 1440p.
In general, this game is actually very GPU demanding on top of needing a decent CPU.
Even on the campaign map my RTX 2080 is at around 85 degree and that is with a 60 FPS lock.
While your 1070 is a decent card, i remember playing the game on my old GTX 1080 in 1080p and i had to lower quiet a few settings to medium/high to keep fluid FPS in massive battles with ultra unit size.
Maybe try with "huge" unit size instead of "ultra". Gives already quiet a performance boost and still looks impressive enough.
Also, do you play from a HDD or SSD? In my experience this game profits quiet a bit from a SSD during the battles and the loading of effects and such.
yes, I have, it´s alright (CPU around 55 degrees celsius and GPU around 60-65 degrees )
that´s what I´m going to try next
