A brand-new launcher is on its way, and is currently available in beta form for the following Total War games:

• Total War: ATTILA
  
• Total War: ROME II
  
• Total War Saga: THRONES OF BRITANNIA
  
• Total War: WARHAMMER
  
• Total War: WARHAMMER II

If you’d like to give it a try, simply follow the steps below:

1. Go to the specific game you’d like to try the beta launcher with in your Steam Library
   
2. Right-click the game and select Properties from the drop-down menu
   
3. Select the Betas tab
   
4. Select the launcher_openbeta - in the drop-down menu
   
5. Upon closing this menu, the game will automatically update

Let us know if you experience any issues, and enjoy!

My english are to worse. Deswegen schreibe ich in Deutsch. Sagt kann es sein, dass der neue Luncher mal wieder Spiele zerschießt, welche mit Mods laufen? Meine ich habe nichts dagegen wenn etwas erneuert wird aber mal wieder wird mir ein Spiel in Runde 101 zerschossen, weil irgendein "unnötiger" Kram erneuert wird. Das macht so keinen Spaß mehr und meine ich überlege mir ernsthaft meine Vorbestellung für das neue Spiel zurückzunehmen. So machen eure Spiele keinen Spaß mehr. Wenn ich wenigstens die Möglichkeit hätte zu sagen "Nein ich will es nicht" aber diesen Knopf habe ich bei Steam leider noch nicht gefunden. Echt frustrierend und nervig. Ein "Pech" bin ich scheinbar nicht alleine damit.

For some reason because of this launcher maybe, Warhammer 2 took a big hit when it comes to performance and it is really bad. Does this have anything to do with the launcher cause above the play button, a message says "Check that you are running the latest version of your hardware drivers", which I am and the performance is still very bad ( always played on ultra settings without any problem).

Everytime something is updated in this game I have to figure out how to manage the mods I have. I have 70+ mods and now with the Beta Launcher I gotta reconfigure all of them....

Same bro and now my game crashes cause of it gotta go one by one once again to find the problem.

OUTSTANDING job on the new launcher. One big request though - could you show the path to the mod that the game is using. Since there are multiple ways/places to install mods it would be really helpful to see which one is being used by the launcher.

PS:would you pass a word to dev about artillery bug that dont want shoot at enemy/wall?For some faction its really a game breaking bug!Artillery unit sometime or on some map just walk to the enemy!!!
