How do I find the treasure?

I'm playing as Count noctilus and I can't find the treasure despite using guides online to show where it should be. I'm not sure if it's changed since then but everytime I dig, same thing, nothing found.

What am I doing wrong?

You need to dig over the patterns on the ground. Look carefully at the campaign map and you will see symbols inscribed there.
