sisters of twilight dragon
i got a quest about the dragon not responding so i had to put a caster in my army
was already one is so was instantly resolved
but now the dragon in the skill menu has a checkmark on it, but its not available
its a lot of turns later, no further quests have appeared
still looks like i should have it in the skill screen but no options in the equip screen
game doesnt have a way to see past quests like game3
is this normal?
will it eventually wake up?
do i need to switch casters a few times?
what is the deal with this, would really prefer the dragon over the eagle

This is a known bug with that quest line. The community bug fix mod should sort out the problem, but I'm not sure if it will do it mid-campaign. I believe I just restarted the campaign when I came across the bug.

I installed this mod and started a whole new vortex campaign - same issue, follow-up quest doesn't trigger. :(

As discussed, it's a well known bug. I believe it occurs because Clar Karond needs to be held by the Dark Elven minor faction for the quest to progress and given the other factions in the area, this is statistically unlikely to happen (typically it'll be in ruins). You have to effectively defend Clar Karond as though it was your own city, even though it isn't, until the quest triggers and then take it. That's how I did it at least. It's a pain in the arse to do but that worked for me.

If it makes you feel any better about progressing your campaign regardless, the dragon's not actually that good anyway (although it is really annoying to not have it when you know you should).
