Absurd price
Does anyone know when the prices of the WH 1 and 2 dlcs will be lowered to the original price? And if they go down?

When enough people affected by regional increases stop buying them.
Or never.

Whenever governments figure out that running an economy should not be on their to so list.

On steam? Pretty high chance the answer will be situated between the "never" and the "maybe in a few decades" timeline. Might go down during a big sale of the titles but considering WH3 just launched that won't likely be happening anytime soon.

Best bet would be to keep an eye out for steam keys and checking when they drop in price (right now Tomb Kings is sold at less than half the price Steam is asking for, with a bit of search you could probably found it at even less). Just be sure to approach reputable services.

The countries affected by raises are subject to regional pricing and keys sold outside steam usually either are not usable in those countries, or are still more expensive anyway.

There was a great price on TWWH 1 and 2 and most of the DLC at FANATICAL.COM a few weeks ago, lowest I had seen ever. Can't recall the exact price, but I think TWWH2 was going at about $13, and the DLCs were down mostly below $5 a pop. TWWH1 was lower than TWWH2 in price.

So, this happens maybe 3-4 times a year, with maybe 2 of those sales being special Total War Sales, separate from the Sega sales (which barely budge the Total War Warhammer prices at Fanatical usually) and separate also sometimes from the Summer, Winter, and Thanksgiving Sales, which are good, but often not as good as the Total War special sales at Fanatical.

The problem is that it is hard to recall when this Total War Warhammer series sale is going to be.

My suggestion to solve this is, perhaps, make an account at Fanatical and add them to your Wishlist and wait until you see a price you want for the TWWH stuff you want.

Occasionally there is a pack of all the DLC or all the Games as well, but this seems dependent on what Sega has going at the time in supply and packages.

These are legitimate Steam Keys, Fanatical is backed by Focus Interactive which is a major game Publisher (and there are other backers in it also now). I've had no problem with them for 3 years plus now. Support is good, check reviews on Trustpilot if you need. Fanatical is the old Bundlestars, which had just as great ratings and prices/support.

Point is, the LOWEST price I had seen by at least 30% lower than any other time in the last two years, just happened less than a month ago. And YOU didn't know about it. So I give you the heads-up, so that at least you can keep track of the low-end price ranges, and have some sense of what to compare it to.

In general, fanatical has the lowest price at least once a year, but sometimes the DLC during the Steam Total War Sale is better for DLCs. Plus you have to watch for coupons, which you get via email from Fanatical which usually will drop prices another 3-12%.

With TWWH3 at, there are a lot of people moving on, but just wanting the older stuff for Immortal Empires. It can be a good time to buy perhaps this year, really good, during a sale.

NOTE: I think, but am not sure, that the Anniversary of the Total War Warhammer 1 release for the beginning of the series, or something like that, is when one of the Total War Sales on Fanatical happens. It may be so on some of the other Gaming Store Platforms, like Gamesplanet. SteamDB can also give you a best price lifetime for a game in your currency ever on Steam, which can give you a sense of what to try and beat.

Long post, nuff said. Other than a special Total War Sale, I would suggest the Thanksgiving Sale Time period as usually superior the last few years on all gaming sites than Christmas/Winter for TWWH pricing.

Go to G2 thing or instant gaming spent 100 euro for almost every base+ dlc of W2 and some missing dlc of 1

Thanks bro, I was just hoping or doubting about the prices, just because there were 4 dlc left on wh1 and tomb kings on wh2.
I really want to play with the missing ones, but because of the prices, I'd rather never buy more than give money to mercenaries.
But thanks for the tips, I'll use them.

Thanks for your personal opinion and not the answer I needed, I'll avoid that too

Other stores isn't usually applicable advice for countries with regional pricing like OPs

since the release, they been on sale for like 30 times @ wh1 and 10 times @ wh2 probably so idk. CA sales, steam sales, holiday sales, warhammer sales, idk, that's on people to keep eyes open for the things they want/need

i mean just dont buy all at once. they been released with 4+ months inbetween, u know? and early buying got u some price reductions back then always too

I already expected that it would be like this with the mortal empires trailer in WH3. I'm not going to buy anything, as you said it's been a while since they launched, I'll just wait for sales to decrease because of the launches that maybe they'll come back with the original price. it's just the anxiety to play with new races, (even though I haven't played with all the ones I already have so far) hahahahahaha
Thanks
FraTezera Sep 8, 2022 @ 10:07am
I just thought that the community would have some information or news that soon the prices would decrease, even if it takes time to happen, because for this price of dlcs now, I just buy a new game hahaha
Elitewrecker PT Sep 8, 2022 @ 10:09am
Prices would only decrease if your currency becomes more valuable or the loss in sales from the raise don't make up for it.
