Probably some others I'm forgetting
so debuffs/ buffs against single entities and aoe damage against multiple entities?
Check this: https://forums.totalwar.com/discussion/257367/direct-damage-spell-analysis
Honestly as far as countering single entities goes lore of lights net cannot be understated. You can keep them in a firing line, or force them to remain in a blob of damage dealers (which you can also buff for more melee attack). It won't take care of them by itself, but gosh does it *help*. Their projectile spell also does sub-par but acceptable damage against large single entities, and their vortex is useable, if not the best one out there. Solid lore if you struggle with single entities (and will likely get you a lot more milage than casting spirit leech from lore of death).
Metal is a pretty bad lore but Gelt is a fantastic wizard, and final transmutation should do reasonable to high damage to single entities quickly, especially if overcast. And with a lot of single entities, quickly is exactly what you need, as they are very problematic to deal with for a lot of units.
