Malus question
Is it worth keeping him on foot or spite? He does cause fear in his mount without transforming, is it worth using it or does more damage and kills enemies faster on foot

From what I’ve heard malus is generally better on foot, otherwise he becomes an easier target and is easier to get out if he’s being crowded other than that malus is fine on foot, also it support when he transforms cuz while he looses health over time with his mount it’s easier for missiles and magic to make it worse

I would get in in case you need to waste ammo with him.

Kill the deathmaster and you get stalk on him, really helps him getting where you want him while on Spite.

I heard Spite only gives him speed and a larger hitbox, nothing else. Hes easier to hit, he doesnt have any greater mass than a standard cold one riding dreadlord, his AoE damage isn't any bigger and its easier for him to get stuck on things.

Can anyone clarify this at the moment? I really want to use the mount, but it sounds like CA haven't tested this, either.

Well, yeah, that's kinda what cold ones do when being ridden by a dreadlord. They aren't massively better at killing things just on their own back. They are there to speed across the battlefield, harrying and sniping at whatever is vulnerable, and providing the Leadership buff where it is needed most at any given moment.

Kind of needs to be though, because they didn't see fit to give Malus an actual attacking animation while on Spite. Attacks are just Spite jumping and biting people. Malus just sits there.

Less interested in lore, more with having a legendary lord mount that isn't trash.

Currently spite is 100% worthless. It gives malus a bit more speed and makes him FAR easier to kill. Most LL mounts actually help, his doesnt.
