"your army will perform better in battle"
is this option glitching? I already played 2 campaigns with Alarielle - sometimes I chose better performance in battle and I got Heavy Iron (+8AP, +8 WS, +15 Armor) but it doesn't show in the active effects at the top of the screen and it doesn't apply the bonuses in battle. The other option - perform better in campaign - works though (perhaps minus the campaign bonus movement range - haven't really checked that thoroughly).

Most of those effects, also faction effects sometimes or lord innate effects, are never showing on the lords stat tables to the left.

Reason is simply because CA made most of those effects with the addition of _unseen, which as the name suggests prevents them from being visible in that UI.

They "should" be visible on the unit cards, though.
Why CA decided to do this is beyond me but I assume with a lot of those effects the status screen could look overburden. Dunno
it is just me :D Jun 16, 2018 @ 3:26am
The battle effects can be found in the right corner of the lord portait I think.

There's no reason for them to not show it other than it's too complicated for them to implement it. I can't think of any other reason honestly.

Yep lord specific effects show in the buttom right corner, a bit below the item list.
And I have seen the heavy iron effect listed down their when I got it.

Dude.
Did you actually read what I wrote?

It's the same effect implementation in the dB, UI and text tables for those as for all other showing effects.

The only, the one and only addition is _unseen to the effect scope.

And this can be safely removed and they show up.

What you talk is complete and utter BS cause you dislike CA.
Stop spreading BS, especially when you know nothing about what you're talking about.

I think your judgement of me is a bit harsh and clouded because you're a fanboy. I too like TW games, I own most of them and their DLC's. But if you can't think of any reason as to why they don't make those effects visible then it must be that they can't. Now relax, you've been a white knight for them for a very long time, and you don't need to be one with me since I'm not a hater. I'm just using logic to derive possible reasons to explain this, alright? Cool.

I'm not a fanboy, I'm a modder.

I know how the mechanics work.
Also, I know your stance on CA.

Tbh I was a bit harsh but pulling off critique at CA there was just sooo.... Ridiculous that I was full of it.
It was going from an arguably bad design decision to "they are too lazy to implement 50 more UI textlines/db entries in a game of tens of thousands text lines and dB entries....

Ok modder, so what is the reason that they haven't made these specific buffs visible then? Maybe they're awfully forgetful? Are you absolutely certain that you can do this on your own and that it's easy? Why not make a mod for it then?

As for what I said, I didn't call them lazy, I called them incompetent, at least the people that are currently working on warhammer 2. They also fcked up the monster unit that was supposed to come out with the latest lord pack DLC so they play us for fοοls by setting us on a "crusade" to play the dark elves and "fill the chalice". I can't imagine that's not due to incompetence, if not then they need to fire the person responsible for their marketing.

It is that easy (although somewhat tedious but still).
I heavily mod my own games and, among others, changed the LL faction/lord trait effects.
Virtually all of them have the _unseen parameter, removing them in the subsequently two db's makes them visible.

I will not argue about their competency or not. I speculated why they decided to do that (which results the the lord effect UI only shows the effects the actual lord imbues right now, not the factionwide stuff).

Also now that I think of it, it's the same with technologies. They also do not show up in that UI and also have the _unseen tag.

Also seriously, that they are missing is not how that works. Virtually all effects are used more than once, some with or without _unseen.

It's just a design decision. Not one I might have made but that's sth you can argue about.

Dude seriously you should send them an email about this, tell them to change that shιt ASAP or we riot!

jk Of course, I don't care that much but still, apparently they need someone to let them know how to design their game better.
