BUT... why they have to make a building in the core game that does nothing if you didnt buy the DLC? Thats just stupid. And i must say i feel a bit fooled about this.
A Game should not have building that do nothing. For me thats a bug or an error and should be Fixed. Or if thex want to be honest they should remove the Building and instead you can buy a advertising Poster in your City for 3700 gold. "Buy the DLC and you will get something for the 3700 gold you just flush down the toilet!"
Dont get me wrong. im not angry that you can spend money to buy a useless Building. If you can read you see it does nothing, and you can avoid building it. What makes me angry that they should remove the building and add it to the DLC. Its lazy or bad Programming. Or and lousy way to make people buy DLCs.
Anyways. This will make me give the game a lesser score. Its the only way to show them that you dislike something in the game. They dont read this here anyways.
its not about DLC fishing, players who play since start have had like half a year between every DLC release... if u don't like a DLC don't buy it, who cares
i honestly didn't even notice that u can build DLC stuff even without owning the DLC yet lmfao, but u can read. the game tells u 100% what any building does, and if u do not read or check the recruitment info, then please, do not complain.
The point is to subtly pressure you to buy the DLC. Each time you play you see the DLC races, you see the DLC units, you can get the tech/buildings for the DLC, but you can only use that content yourself if you pay for it.
Yes it is very manipulative, but at least its not locked behind random slot-machine style loot boxes.
With regard to the building, I think the lower level is still used to recuit the teradon riders which are not a DLC unit, and as others have stated for AI recuitment.
I understand OPs confusion as if you don't own the DLC it could seem odd and is a legitimate question... but are people actually mad about this? Seems like a bit of a stretch and the wrong place to focus any DLC fueled anger.
I STILL don't have the Beastmen DLC lol. Someone convince me I should buy it!! Please!!
Also it enables two units from two different DLCs, right?
If so, CA must have became confused by their own code =D
I'd imagine it's for just compatibility if you confederate a faction that has the building built already or you conquer it in a city, which then lets you tear it down for its full value.
If you haven't played the revamped beastmen, it's about as close to a listening to Slayer while jumping off a building with a two-handed battleaxe with blood and hair flying everywhere, and chopping a brontosaurus in half...lengthwise while having Angron's nails inserted in your skull ...as you can get.
Sorry, just got around to watching Primal. Another excellent Genndy Tartakovsky project.
Beastmen are great now with all the updates they've received. They're a powerful monster/melee race. They have easy access to the other beastmen lords during your campaigns. Rewards of dread is a cool system. They don't pay any upkeep for units. Razorgore chariots are pretty broken. Malagor is a zoomy boy one-man doomstack. Morghur can win any siege by just sitting by the walls. Cow people.
It's great.
