Beastmen are actually the same, just that you have to use some minimal strategic planning for your Herdstone placement and execution. And their units are so overpowered from the start, once you can recruit a second army you just steamroll the whole map with auto-resolve battles.
TBH Throt is one of the better DLC armies, in particular in comparison to the other Skaven Lords. You are not directly forced to use specific units like with Snikch, and not indirectly like with Ikit. There is a focus on creature armies, but essentially you can mix & match everything from infantry, weapon teams and artillery.
woah... no man. Beastmen are more of a cut down version of WoC or norsca in THAT regards. Herdstones completely absolve you from need to manipulate enemy movement and making sure they dont settle behind you, while hidden encapement give you really easy way out from bad situation you could dhave putyourself in.
They are "upgraded" version of WoC, for sure, since they are made up to a level of a TWW2 race, but in regards of your description of WoC and norsca... it is beastmen, that have to do less. Much MUCH less. And cause of that, btw, they are way easier, and therefore - fun to general audience. Most people dont even bother to learn tricks, that neded to play WoC sucessfully from a bad start.
Whatcha all thinking about playing first in the new warhammer?
Oh no worries.
Also, for me the fun i sfiguring out how to roll with something that interests me. Challenges are totally fine.. for me anyway!
Hopefully WH3 being the last in the series they will go ham on getting immortal empires going with all actions and whatnot updated.
I think they might. If you consider it will drive sales to warhammer 1&2 not to mention the DLC. Not an easy feat for a gaming company, but one they can do here.
I did buy the two skaven DLCs (Moulder and Skyre).. was worth it! I like wood elves, and it seriously opened up such wider possibilities I started my Eshin campaign ove.r
I mean yopu need all the skaven DLC to really enjoy Skaven IMHO.
Eshin with wolf rats! Fuggetaboutit.
It also deeply makes the clan contracts mean something as well.
