There you go.
It gets rid of a lot of the minor factions no one cares about that are far away from your start point, leaving only the major factions (which is all you will be seeing by the time you get over there anyway).
Saved a ton of time for me.
Also the empire is no bigger than other factions, it is split up into a bunch of smaller ones instead of being one giant entity.
Totally going to have to give that a try.
Oh, by empire I just meant whatever random faction managed to conquer all their neighbors and rampage over half their continent in a given campaign, not the Empire faction.
Bigger isn't always better though - the mod Silamon recommended at least made the turn times somewhat bearable (reduced it from 60-90 seconds a turn down to 35 seconds), but by turn 30 it's already getting back up there again. There's like 6 different more or less identical roving pirate factions, and someone apparently founded a college of pyrotechnics.
There's a problem when a battle with two full doomstacks running at max graphics runs at a higher FPS (~30) than the campaign map (~5). The turn times are the real issue though, especially in the early game where there's more often than not literally nothing to do other than hit end turn.
Also, it could maybe avoid them the need to cut and stiching back the maps to fit.
2T:
LUL, 15 minutes for 6 turns? Thats atleast 15 turns for me, turn times vary between 40 and 65 seconds for me. Which is still acceptable.
Though it would be nice for some peope if they would make separate WH1 map, considering the updated factions I guess.
CA managed to ruin turn times A LOT in TWW2.
Turn times didn't increase simply because there are more factions taking their turn time. Turn times increased about 5 times per single faction turn time! Now that is a real problem.
So instead of 2 seconds total turn time in TWW1 there is 40 seconds total turn time in TWW2.
CA seems to be incompetent and not valuing their customers about how they respond to this problem.
Explaing this again: each faction takes 5 more time to make turn in TWW2.
And of course I assume that all AI movement animations are off, otherwise you can watch AI move move forever in both TWW1 and TWW2.
