I feel like it could've been a more interesting mechanic overall. Even Lizardmen hordes would have to be drawing their recruitment from Lizardmen lands.
As practicaly commander in chief of hexoatl and most of the lizardmen military he is in charge of the protection of the temple cities. And mazadamundi sends him when he needs to get a job done right and in this case that job is rebuilding the lizardmen holds in the southland.
With this logic.. teclis should be a horde. Alith anar should be a horde
Fellheart should be a black arks only horde
Grand hierophant guy should be a horde
Basically a lot of characters that starts away from home region will be hordes.
To be fair, the Fellheart one makes sense. There's a reason that the mod that turns him into a black ark is one of this game's most popular.
Seriously.. I still don't understand why CA still dont give him the black ark.
Because they're one of the main factions on the vortex campaign, so they need settlements. How are you going to take ritual sites and how are you going to have settlement to perform rituals otherwise?
Also until CA manages to do better hordes faction, and as proven by Nakai they're indeed trying to do better but are still far away from getting anywhere near the level of non-horde faction right now, increasing the number of horde faction would not be a good thing for the game.
A horde faction would make this task simpler and more efficient by being able to recruit while on the move. I understand the Last Defenders are a core faction, but we've had hybrid factions before in Total War. Factions that can settle or pick up and go on the move.
And I agree Fellheart is needs to command his own Black Ark, the Tower of Blessed Dread, in-game. The mechanic is already there for the pirate lords, idk why they didn't give it to Fellheart. That mod is broken, it would give every lord under the faction a Black Ark.
That's my headcanon for it.
The black ark he starts with even has a unique kraken sculpture on the front.
