Vampire Coast Legendary Lord: Aranessa Saltspite
Queen of the Tides, Aranessa Saltspite is one of the most respected and feared pirate captains of Sartosa. Some say she is the daughter of the sea god Manann himself and he whispers to her to take control of all the world’s oceans.

Now, many a sea-bloated corpse washes up against the Swordfysh’s hull, and so the Vampire first mates breathe unlife into them, creating a vast rabble of loyal crew, ready to serve at Captain Saltspite’s command.

As part of the living realm rather than the undead, she commands a human pirate crew known as the Sartosa Free Company, otherwise reluctantly sharing control of the denizens of the Vampire Coast.

What? I didn't even mention my biggest reason why I don't like Saltspite much ^^ But hey, a hint, my favorite Lady Lords are Alarielle, The Fay, and Morathi ... ^^ Saltspite really lacks what makes those truly great ^^
Barefoot?

Not to mention the bad excuse of "her first mates raise the dead for her" yeah because vampires are known to be so loyal and helpful, especially towards mortals. Instead of making her just undead after the dreadfleet story line you do this lazy excuse. Fitting for such a lazy dlc.
Not a lazy dlc, really, they just wanted to find a way to shoehorn a human pirate into the DLC. Lazy implementation, not an overall lazy dlc. Really though, they could have re-skinned multiple empire units to look like human pirates, not just the most obvious free company militia.

But I am not going to complain. It's a lord in a completely unique dlc, they don't have to make half a reskinned roster for just 1 lord when we already have a mostly unique roster coming with the dlc

They've specifically mentioned the Free Company, but there could be more units than that as part of the hybridisation. Alarielle got 3, and Arkhan got about the same, so Cap'n Saltspite might too, although I'm not sure what else she'd get.

Honestly most of the Vampire Coast stuff is so barebones in lore that they can kinda go in a number of directions most of it. It really just looks like they're doing what they always are and picking the characters that interest them the most.

Good to have the mortal empires starting locations there too now.

They're showing her starting location on the ME map because she's probably the only one to have different starting locations so far. Harkon is obviously starting in the Vampire Coast and Noctilus got his own unique island that's present on both maps.
They added starting locations for the first two as well.

And if one of the main characters you want to advertise your DLC with is a lazy implementation of forcing a misfitting character into the DLC then your DLC is what ? Lazy, thats correct.

Oh and btw they did re-skin multiple empire units. Look at the undead mortars. (re-skin of empire mortars)

Or the zombie gunners. (re-skin of empire marksmen)

they could have just made her undead, her ultimate fate after dreadfleet in unknown and her lore was never expanded on and TWWH is set in the endtimes

CA was well within their rights to make her a vamp if they want to

Nope, he's right, there's new territory on the ME map below it.

It's hard to read without zooming in but they're there down the south of the desert.

Kinda glad they didn´t fall for the temptation to make the norscan mer-mutant pirate captain some random super-hawt chick in a bodice.
Aaaaand for those who want that, don´t worry, there´ll be 5-6 re-skins out before the launch week is over.
Hey, maybe they´ll even replace her undead monster horde with re-skinned imperial troops!
Yay!

Also important to mention that out of all the info pages of the three revealed LLs, Sartosa Free Company are the only ones referred to as 'units'. Every other unit named is not called 'units' when plural.

Safe to assume we will get several human units, not just 1
