Performance Improvements using DXVK
I got ~5%-15% more fps overall in ingame benchmarks.
Try it yourself.

Hello, can you help me with install?
I can't launch game after my attempt to install dxvk.
I need to unzip dxgi.dll and d3d11.dll just into folder with game? Steam/speamapps/common/TW Warhammer 2 or another directory?
And maybe i need to update Vulkan drivers? (they are installed but old).

Yes.

I made a backup of the old dxgi.dll (just in case to revert the change) and then just followed the instructions in the link above.

"Navigate to the x32 subfolder of the archive.
Extract dxgi.dll and d3d11.dll to the root of the game folder."

Copy the x32 folder files.
The x64 folder files didn't work for me.

Thank you for reply.
After i switched from x64 to x32 it worked, but i didn't saw significant increase of fps (+ 1-2).
Maybe i just wanted more magical fps increase.

And there had to be dxgi.dll in folder before installation of dxvk?
Cause i haven't seen any and just unziped without questions like replace with new one or leave old file.
I saw only d3dcompiler_47.dll.
Or i done something wrong, or it's just not giving significant increase on Windows.

I usually find the single biggest performance improvement I can make to a game is to turn off Windows fullscreen optimisations from compatibility settings.

Since this game heavily leans on CPU power, I would be surprised to see a noticeable FPS boost from a GPU related hack (Vulkan) - unless ofc there is some bottlenecking going on, with your GPU.

There should be an original dxgi.dll in the main folder.

To reverse everything, just delete both files "dxgi.dll and d3d11.dll" and verify gamedata in steam options.
Then try again but make backup of "dxgi.dll" before.

This doesn't make any "fps-wonders".
For me it increased my benchmark fps from ~52ish to ~59ish on ultra settings.
I have a gtx 1070.

Just right for me for 1080p fhd.

brother, x64 doesn't work because it isn't compatible with this game. x32 "works" because it isn't doing anything, those files aren't loaded into the game. Try delteting them while the game is running and you'll see.

Do you why DXVK doesn't work for warhammer 2? Looking to get any FPS boost I can for this game.
