Having issues trying to record
Been wanting to record a video to say thanks to the community for all the help and introduction into this game, but having issues with in game audio on OBS. So far I got most of it but I still have no idea what is going on. It sounds like a reverb or rumble in my recordings and I can barely hear it in my recordings. I realize it probably doesn't need to be high quality but was wondering if anyone had a similar issue or advice. Would appreciate anything you throw at me if possible!

Oh geez, audio recording issues in a Let's Play like set up. Well the first culprit usually causes this is, believe it or not, having the mic plugged into a power socket, not sure the set up but on my Sony Camera(used for recording audio for long time on channel cos auto balances and at least consistant..."quality") this happens every time the camera is plugged into a certain power outlet, typically one on the wall, oh god 8 hours content lost one time cos of that problem, and while no shouldnt be anal retentive about audio quality for a fun project, at end of the day visuals can be edited, audio...more edit it, more quality loss.

Next up if were talking not your talking but game audio doing that, weird one actually almost sounds like you have two inputs to OBS somehow, but both coming from the game audio OR mic lying around defaulting in OBS to record as if you're doing my first idea and it's picking up your game audio off speakers.

Last, OBS is kinda...eh, if you can try windows game recording, or the built in AMD/Nvidia recorders, Nvidia in particular used as a capture "device" for almost all episodes of my channel on PC games. You can find them in your driver suite for video card, Catalyst, w/e calling Nvidia one these days.

I'm also a complete and total recording savage so take everything I say with a grain of salt xD

I was speaking of in game audio, but I did find out I had 2 sources of desktop audio coming in as well as game audio and was able to lower the in game reverb or rumble sound, though it's not quite there yet. fairly certain that my mic isn't picking up the sound as my in game is. Thought it was from effects, though nothing changed concerning the rumble, until I switched to a different menu theme. I now think it actually has more to do with my computer and the sound settings, and I have no idea where to begin lol.

If you don't mind me asking what is your YT?

So I figured it out, turns out my sound settings had some sound effects that was boosting everything to the point of a reverb. Never really noticed until I tried to record and now my sound is a lot quieter now lol.
