The total idocy of the empire fealty systems. Another example!
Ostermark was destroyed. Mr Gelt was so friendly to let them emerge again in Essen.

No comes the sorry tale. One turn later, the felty checker of the crappy empire mechanic choses Ostermark as revolter, because of low fealy. WTF! I had the option to use 1000 prestige or declare war on them. Mr. Gelt stands with it's army directly beside the city.

Gentle people of CA, what have you done to our empirial offices. There is even still the message option available to get notified about "empty office slot". You have made a very sloppy job. Implemented a fast solution with out anyone testing it. Afterwards you ignore your shiny new baby, and we just have to live with it or mod it out.

+1 , empire was one of my fav
faction, this thing ruins it for me.
It could work if it was a 2nd layer of the current diplo system. But as a repllacement I don't see the positive.

the only thing bad about the current Empire system is the "restauring an already disappeared faction". never select that, it's never worth it from what i've seen. Giving a settlement back to a faction that is still xisting is fine though, and so is everything else.
I think it's waaaay superior to the former absolute nothingness that were the Empire campaign mechanics.

There are many other bad things:

1. Dilemmas: They in the early game crippling, as you will not have enough money / prestige for every dilemma. you can aruge that this is part of the dilemmas. But later on you can ignore them, as you swim in money and prestige.

2. Random city attacks. You pay money /presitge: you get random tiny army. City get destroyed/sacked. In my opion this is a deliberate debuff for the empire, as it makes random destruction. Seldom your bought army will win.

3. Imperial authority: In the early game you will loose so many elector counts, that it can be a spiral down. And as my expample has shown, revive them for authority can get terrible wrong. Returning cities gives only fealty

4. Emperor has to protect his elector counts. BUT he has no military access -> tresspassing - opinion down. Even if you try to save them from the vampire meance.

5. You can not ally with you counts. you will not called to war if anyone get attacked.

6. Elector count state troops are good and fun, BUT you have to buy them if they available. You cannot have two carronburg greatswords in the reserve even if you wait long enough. To optimize recruiting you actually have to note down the turns they come avilable. Every state troop has a different timer until available again. This is really bad designed. There is no message option for "State troop" available.

7. The parallel system of opinion and fealty is the worst of it all. High opion gives you 1 static fealty! 1 meeky fealty?

This is only my opinion of the system. Maybe others have fun and find it great.
