Unclear on resource production.

Hello,

I tried looking this up but am surprised how hard it is to find.

For example, the text for what income I’d generate for building an “Elven Artisan” building is: “Income generated: 150 (+20%, 180)” and “Elven Trinkets resource production: 8 chests”

So, basically my question is that I can’t tell if the 2nd line (the 8 chests) is in *addition* to the first line (the income of 180) or if that 2nd line is basically just “flavor” text for the first. Each chest of trinkets is valued at 18 so it doesn’t add up to either 150 or 180 so I’m just not sure what it’s saying.

Cash is tight at the moment so I don’t know if the return on building it would make immediate sense.

First line is straight money produced.
Second line are trade goods produced, you need trade agreements to make use of those. Money from those would be on top of the 180 it produces.

Depends on your race. Sometimes they produce money but no resources, sometimes they produce resources but don't produce money.

I was talking about the return. A lot of income buildings seem to have quite long returns if looked in a vacuum.
