Can Nakai Be Confederated?

I have 112 Relation with the big guy and i'm about 70 power rankings above him yet he still refuses to confederate with me. Is this intentional or am i doing something wrong?

No, it's possible.
It's just really hard. Useally you can only confederate once a faction loses it's militairy strength. (it counts your armies if you're allied as well)
The problem with nakai is, he's a horde faction. The moment he loses, he tends to be defeated completly.

Funny you should mention it, The Idiot just Declared War on Markus Wulfhart and got run down by 3 Armies. he's dead now.

Guess its all random, Nakai was the first lizardmen agreeing to get confederated in my last Cult of Sotek campaign and did so with less relation than you currently have.

That's why i dislike this version of the relation system, especially when all i want is to play around with all the legendary lords :P i might just download a mod that allows me to recruit them directly. I care more about fun than fairness :-/

Lizardmen in particular have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ diplomacy for Confederating; from what I understand they don't really consider relations, only the current situation. So you can be best buddies with them and they still won't confed unless they are in an extremely weak position.

I'd 100% recommend just using the 'Recruit defeated LL' mod with them if you want to use the other LLs, it makes things a lot less frustrating.

I might just do that, i don't really care about the teritory i get i only really wan't to play around with the Legendary Lords under the same banner. (Also more fun for roleplaying) :-)
