I'm happy for more Chaos and hope they do them justice with a good roster of Chaos variants, I'm not sure how well they will pull it off since there's not actually that much difference in terms of units as there is having the same units in different gear with different stat sheets.
I'm not a fanboy for Chaos Dwarves or Ogres either, but I'll take them over copy-paste Empire units.
Is Kislev really that similar to Empire? From what I've seen they're much more focused on heavy cavalry and infantry than they are guns and artillery like Empire, plus all the ice-themed units CA seems to be adding to Kislev's roster.
As for Cathay, they really don't sound similar to Empire other than their big territory wise and have access to guns. From what lore that is there it seems like a good portion of their roster is going to be monstrous infantry and construct infantry.
I mean, ignoring that I hate cavalry, Empire already has some heavy monster cavalry in the form of Hippogryphs. I don't see how bears will be any different.
Maybe Cathay will get interesting with some monster or construct units, but as far as I am aware the bulk of their army is just alternatives to Empire firepower with heavy artillery and rockets.
Most excited to try out different chaos factions though, always was most hyped about that then anything else
I didn't think of constructs. You ever play Age of mythology? the automatons could be something interesting if done right. the terracota soldiers could be a thing you pull back and have them repair behind your lines or something, kind of like you'd do with vargulfs for vampires.

Understandable.
I am hyped for both; I love the fact that there will be multiple human factions.
If I had to pick one I would say slightly more on Cathay because of the freedom CA is getting in making new Lords & Units on top of there being a connection to the Lore of a Great Wall like the Great Wall of China which is pretty awesome in fighting off the daemons; e.g. the film "The Great Wall." So if I was involved in the creation of new units for Cathay there would be gun powder involved. ;)
I still think Kislev is a another cool flavor of a human faction. It's like a world of free people that love freedom from different cultures all banding together to fight for a common cause against a common evil (e.g.- like fighting against the Luciferion Cabal in the real world- go ahead Stm Spt- I did not mention the Ancient of Days or His Host of Angels but go ahead ban me for this line too, LOL.)
Not sure if we will get these other factions but I would also love to see Dogs of War on top of Araby- a cool faction based on the mythology of a Sahara Desert Environment (opposite of Tomb Kings with a different flavor of course.)
Also to note the Mass Psychology of being forced to hate others by insulting & calling everyone racist does not affect me one bit. A lot of people wanted Araby more than Cathay and it had nothing to do with being racist it was just a Lore Preference in the World of Warhammer. It's amazing how a generation can be trained & condition to react this way off of everything now a days including a fictional universe.
Gotta say, I really don't care much for either. Humans are been-there-done-that no matter how many flavours you add in. They gotta do something crazy for my interest to be piqued.
Demons, demons, demons, demons, demons, demons. Cant wait run rampant across the world with tzeentch or a bloodthirster
