Best casting Hero for Greenskins?
What do you guys prefer to use if you were to limit yourself to just 1 casting Hero per army? Orc Shaman? Night Goblin Shaman? Troll Hag?

And is there an argument to use multiple casting Heroes - even though I am not in the habit of doing so?

Orc shaman i'd say has the best magic. Foot of Gork is a really good spell.

As for an argument to have multiple spellcasters, if you want either an orc or goblin shaman, as you want a river troll hag in every army for the replenishment buff.

troll for replenishment if only 1, orc shaman for lore if 2

I usually use 1-3 depending on lord. I like having heroes in armies.

troll hags purely cause there decent combatents have a very good lore of magic are "relatively" durable with there regen also they come with "yet another" snare spell "seriously mither is so strong bonus point if you stack it with fermented fungi thats fun"

and from a campaign perspective there the ones that provide casualty replenishment right?
I would say it depends on the army you are embedding them in, and how you envisage using the magic. I like the buffs and nerfs in the Little Waagh spellbook when running a gobbo army, and i like Foot of Gork and ere We Go with Orc armies. I wouldn't go multiple spellcasters unless you are cheesing winds of magic (and I'm not a fan of cheesing the mechanics like that).

Troll Hag.

Replenishment is very useful.

Purple Sun is a good vortex spell for dmg.

For their actual magic: Orc Shaman

For being a good all-round unit and army buff: Troll Hag.

I have a hard time finding room for Goblin Shamans in my Armies, their spells don't appeal to me much by comparison.

Orc Shaman

the night goblin shaman fits better with goblins, the orc shaman fits the orcs better, and the river troll hag works for either. multiple casters helps with more magic and more spells.

Orc Shaman due Foot of Gork is more precise also it got a mount.
W/ Goblin Shaman you can have a lord. Goblin shaman and hag isn't bad but the vortex could miscast then hit your own unit.

W/ Hag it can be a monster unit which is quite powerful, as mention by other user army buffs and can buff leadership.

If you got Grimgor and using Da Immortulz banner in one of your Black Orc unit. That unit will basically be an immortal unit w/ a hag buffing their leadership.

Having multiple caster isn't bad it increase your Winds of Magic and Reserves.

Wurrzag !! He can cast like 12 Feet of Gork on each battle lol

I find that the Little Waagh! is better than Big Waagh! overall because it is much more versatile. Annoying Eshin night runners harassing you? Gork will fix it. Stinties trying to give your lads the axe? Itchy Nuisance + a river troll unit or river troll hag will debuff their melee attack by around -30. Getting hammered by artillery or on the approaching during a siege? Night Shroud your lads. Need a decent damage spell with nice debuffs? Curse of da Bad Moon. Super cheap but nice armor piercing boost? Sneaky Stabbin. Bunch of spells that suck against armor? Lore of the Big Waagh! Foot of Gork is strong, but I'd say it consumes way too much winds of magic for what it does. As for the River Troll Hag, I don't really use their magic much, or at least don't prioritize it. All about mither, and teach em' right, and their horrible smell.

Yes but they need more micro, Big Waagh damage spells are much easier to use !

Ah, good point!

Yeah, I didn't even realize the hag gives replenishment! I may now consider 2 casters then - though I hate doing that. How many heroes overall do you tend to bring per army?

I guess this is the consensus, and I may try it.

Yeah, I don't like to use Goblins all that much, so Orc Shaman sounds more attractive - or the combination of the Troll Hag and the Orc Shaman.

And I hate too much micro! ;)
