All the three lords that have been mentionned in this thread( Thrott, Eltharion and Markus) are all very fine addition to the cast of playable LL. They all have a very specific individual playstyle (especially markus and Thrott) which is exactly what you want as additional LL.
If anything, all 3 are examples of what CA should do more of.
in reverse, being more unique inside their own faction also means that it has more chances of displeasing some players; but that's why we have variety so that everyone can find what they like.
Sorry, this game doesn't need carbon copies, but variety. For everything else -> Mods.
Throt is amazing, he's the 1st Skaven lord I ever won a ME campaign as. Obviously he's meant to play towards monsters, and he's damn good at it. But here's the thing: One of his upgrades, 'Cellular Instability', basically turns the unit into a walking bomb that doesnt kill itself. Gaining this trait on all my Hellpit Abominations made his campaign not only managable with the chaos being so close, but also extremely fun. You just send the beast out into the glob of enemy infantry, let them surround him, and BOOM! The tactic is extra deadly if you can trigger an ambush, which the Skaven specialize in. Throt has an awesome unique capital, a nice corner to himself (once the chaos are offed), great incentives to use fun units, and probably the best voice actor in the game...
I think Ikit Claw is still probably number one for Skaven lords in pure deadliness, but personally Throt is my favorite rat king. Probably in my top 3 for lords in the game honestly
(Use Cellular Instability on Broodhorrors and make a full army with them, then go blow up armies upon armies just because you can)
