Half-Breeds?

So, I'm gonna guess humans and elves can probably interbreed, at least at one point in the lore. If there were mixes in early 40K it's not the hardest thing to believe there were in fantasy too. But have there ever been any relations between humans and dwarves? I'm trying to learn some tabletop RPG systems, figure the one for Warhammer Fantasy will be one of them, and I kinda wanted to run a human imperial engineer with half Imperial-Dwarf parentage.

Officially, in current canon, nope, the various species cannot produce offspring. Way way way back in the early days of the tabletop, Half Elves were a thing I think, but they have not been for a very long time

Read the Gilead's Blood book by Dan Abnett which confirms that yes half elves are a thing in Warhammer.

Beastmen, being a mutation of humans can breed with humans. Well.. more like force themselves on human females.
Though some freaky man might find a beastmen Doe to .. do the thing with.

The offspring more then likely will be another beastmen, or food if it's just human.

Dwarves, Ogres, humans etc are all completly seperate species and cannot interbreed. I will fully admit I have no knowledge of half elves in this setting. But fairly certain that in current lore, they cannot mix blood together.

To answer your question:

Under the current rules, no to Half-Elves etc. There were such things until...6th Ed(I believe), but it became more rare as time marched on.

Besides, who's preventing you from using older rules? Just MAKE IT CLEAR! So other people know what they're getting into.

In one of the Brunner books I think the Dark Prince villain in one book has some half elf kids he uses as lieutenants

There is ONE canon character that is a halfbreed in the entirety of Warhammer. And she's ironically in this game already. The Enchantress, she's actually a Half Elf, the ONLY half elf in the entirety of Fantasy, as well as the only canon half-breed in all of Fantasy

And it makes a point of saying that /everyone/ is scared of her. And that she's more connected to The Lady than anyone else, even Louen, the Lady's own champion.

She's basically a terrifying monster in human form in the eyes of basically everyone. 'But at least she's OUR monster' seeming to be the sentiment.
