You are right but I consider pirates to be rogues too^^
and I have to admit that in almost 1000 hours these "not pirate" rogue armies never did anything to me. they may screw up the AI on the other side of the world but when they decide to spawn in my territory it´s either:
- right beside 1-2 stacks of my own and they die without recruiting a single unit
- raid the region till they have 2-3 armies and then run away because they are afraid of me
I can not remember a single time they attacked me first (unlike these **** pirates xD)
Man those guys used to drive me crazy! I haven't seen them in forever though. I've noticed that Rogue Factions seem to be a bit more aggressive and more likely to make a mark on the map...at least until a much larger faction decides to eat them.
I like how if you let even a broken army with one unit left in it get away, somehow they grow back quickly. They make good nemesis-es(?).
