Empire Metal Wizard
I noticed recently that the Empire has no gold wizard to accompany their armies. Apparently Gelt is the only metal caster in the entire empire. This is absurd and surprisingly there is no mod to add one. How much time and effort would it take to add a metal caster to the empire roster?

There's a mod. Mixu's Tabletop Lords adds a variety of lords and heroes, including Gold Wizards.
A mod link (was spending minutes trying to find the mod xD)

I suspect (unfounded) there is a lore reason behind the lack of metal wizards in the empire, either that or its a balance reason.
Strange thing is, Empire already have most of the schools of magic, barring a few.

They have seven of the eight main winds of magic. They are supposed to have everything the High Elves get except High magic. Humans have limits after all. However, it seams that CA decided to never give them metal for no reason I can discern.

Altdorf college of magic has 8 orders. The only missing one is metal because of Gelt. Its the only reason why we dont have this order in game. To make Gelt more unique character in the empire roster.

Thats why there was no problem in adding metal wizard for elves.

personally I believe that metal wizard will appear for the empire eventually

Looks like a couple of bonus characters will be joining me in my quest to get that darn gold mage hero. The rest look pretty cool as well. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

its a balance reason

if you give empire a generic metal caster then gelt is basically reduced to "metal caster but takes up a lord slot + a bit better at casting"

as IS gelt already struggles to find his niche a bit last thing he needs is a generic character filling the same role

i have a feeling gelt will eventually get a bit of a touch up and be given a few more unique abilities and THEN empire will get a generic metal caster

Nakai is outshone by the Kroxigor Ancient and Kroq'Gar is outshone by the Saurus OldBlood. At least in multiplayer. I don't buy that excuse.

Please can we just have that last battle wizard for empire?
If it makes Geld feel bad, then tough luck for him.

Not much, but why bother beyond it's thematic? Empire already has some of the strongest magical lores in game (Heaven, Life, Fire, Light), so adding Gold Wizards may as well be pointless. It's either they don't won't to step on Gelt's toes or they're gearing up one more Empire F/DLC for III.

I think they just forgot it.

Gelt has 1 WoM cast so no generic wizard would come close to his destructive power.

All (most?) Legendary Lords have a generic version of themselves. Franz is just an Empire General with some extra skills. Volkmar is just an Arch-Lector, ect. I dont see why they would worry about Gelt stepping on toes since the same logic doesn't apply to the other Lords.
