as VC you need 29+ settlements to spawn chaos , then you need something like 50+ Settlements to spawn Archaon . Keeping all their 4 LL and the beastman faction in a wounded state grants you "an age of peace?" .
Only 8 boring stacks easily defeated by the weakest Empire faction.
8 boring beastmen stacks easily defeated by the weakest Empire faction.
8 stacks between Ulthuan and Naggarond, again, easily defeated.
And
8 stacks between Araby and Lustria, probably the more succesful one because Lustria is always a mess of factions instead of consolidated like the rest.
These keep respawning until Archeon shows up.
Archeon shows up after you reach a certain size, or turn number, whichever happens first.
Often for me, its between t60 and 80 that the first wave shows up, depending on how much I turtle.
I always use Chaos to annoy the Empire with :) Then again, I use a x10 chaos mod cuz otherwise Chaos is....not very chaotic.
So you could wait it out, theoretically but better is to grind it out. They give good post battle loot and are not hard to kill in the end.
