Wood Elf Magic Lores
Part of the info pertaining to the Wood Elf Update was that we would be seeing new Lores of Magic for the Wood Elves with the DLC while I think the most anticipated Lore that people are hoping for is their unique Lore of Athel Loren from 6th Edition, they were even more magically adept than their High Elf cousins since in addition to the eight base Lores and High Magic, they could also wield Dark magic that was otherwise unique to the Dark Elves. While the idea of the Wood Elves having access to ELEVEN lores of magic has some appeal, I acknowledge that they might not give them all that versatility.

So what Lores do you hope they get, be it from an aesthetic PoV or for synergy with different builds. I'm personally hoping for High, Dark (possibly both with a dual lore Lord like Mannfred von Carstein), and Light (Net of Amyntok)

Are there any lores that buff ranged units? The only one I can think of is lore of the deep, and something tells me thats not a option.

Truth be told, I've never imagined them needing anything other than lore of life to keep the eternal guard where they need to be.

I highly doubt we will see another dual lore lord. I think CA has moved more in the direction of teclis and morathi who have access to spells from multiple lores but not the entire lores themselves.

It would be fitting though for twilight twins If they ever come up with them that is.

As for the lores.. I don't have any guesses.

Yeah, there's definitely a dearth in spells that buff ranged attacks. Flaming Sword of Ruin also offers a buff to missile damage, but other than that, none really come to mind. If you want to get the most out of missile units, then you need to focus on debuffing enemies with spells that slow/prevent movement or decrease armor values.

Maybe that's something their adaptation of the Lore of Athel Loren could provide, a spell that buffs ranged.

Would Wood Elves get Lore of Fire? They're tree huggers aren't they?

Lore of Nehekara, but that's way, way beyond 'they should not have this lore'. It's one of those handful that no elf should have.

They had Lore of Fire in tabletop. Remember they were originally High Elf colonists that refused to return to Ulthuan and instead migrated to Athel Loren. And while they may be aligned with some of the nature spirits, there are also a lot of them that are hostile to the presence of the Wood Elves. And Starfire shafts do Flaming Damage so there's no reason for them not to have Lore of Fire.

As long as they keep Shadow I don't care.
