For me the WE are much more interesting to play campaign wise. The 2 original we factions are okay, I prefer sisters but you also get Drycha and she is imo the most fun of the 4 LL.
If you have specific questions that concern you I gladly answer but my opinion is it's much more enjoyable now.
Personally, I would just buy T&T because the sisters are by far my favourite WE lord though, but that's just my preference (unfortunately I think you don't get Drycha this way).

To sum up, yes, they are very worth the money if you see them on discount.
Even before their rework, their army was excellent, the bad reviews were for campaign mechanics only, and the high price on release probably too.
Now? they are the faction on shape for a game 3 launch alongside Skavens and Greenskins.
