Ikit Claw campaign: doomwheels or doom flayers?
Basically, what to use for melee and lord mounts? It seems to me that Ikit himself is best on foot, as he is, by all accounts, has better stats except mobility, and excellent range and melee weapon.

At a glance, it seems like doomflayers are better both as a unit and a mount (considering forbidden workshop upgrades too), am I wrong?

Personally I go for a doomflayer myself. With the forbidden workshop having more magic reserves as well as a constant lighting strike passive is just so much better.
(still wish the Warlock Engineer hero could get a doomflayer mount.)

Especially now that infantry has more mass, meaning a doomwheel gets stuck far more. Doomwheels are mainly used as a terror tool anyway.

But the biggest thing is, Ikitt Claw has some of the most funny and hilarious animations on foot. Why take that away from yourself?

I go with flayers. Never really got the wheels to work well for me.

I'd say both can work. The doomflayer is better if you're using Ikit as a frontline unit, while doomwheel is better if you want to fight with him (got like perfect vigour in lab resarch).

Warlock engineer is, well, en engineer. He runs around artillery and weapon teams. He could use a rifle, really - but he gets half-baked magic that's a waste for him anyway.

I used to always get them doomwheels, but since the latest patch nerfed their ability to get out of combat I've been trying flayers, and I like the extra mobility, I'll probably keep them for a while.
