Capturing a settlement with a pirate cove
So, I'm doing a Coop Vampire Coast campaign with a friend and we are currently on a full-scale war in Ulthuan. We have been looting and razing all the inland provinces but left unscathed the ones with a port so we could plant some pirate coves. We are trying to avoid touching the money-making ones like Lothern or Tor Anroc, but I'm curious about what would happen if we took them over.

We know that a settlement changing hands does not affect the cove in the slightest, since we both had a cove in Marienburg that was later taken over by Couronne and that didn't do anything. But what would happen if we ourselves took over the settlement? Would that destroy the cove? And would it destroy the cove of the owner or both coves?

I've been looking for info about this everywhere but couldn't find anything clear enough.

If YOU own a pirate cove it will be destroyed/removed when YOU take the settlement. 99% sure the other persons pirate cove will still be there.

yea i did this with a friend of mine who played dreadfleet while i played morathi being able to take 50% off a econ focused dark elf settlement is nuts.

Another doubt I have is if we can establish pirate coves in each other's settlement. Like, he is playing Sartosa, could I just go and put a cove there so I can benefit from his economy?

Agent actions work. I'm not sure about Coves, but they should work.

Yes, you can benefit from everything and they don't suffer anything.

if he already has a settlement no you can't the only way to get a cove and by extension a undercity in a allied settlement is by building one in a settlement your ally is going to capture and then making sure it doesn't get destroyed.
