Huge bias for strategic locations...
I have 3000 hours now in-game and I only just started playing as Lizard Men and before that I played a few hundred hours as Vampire Coast; I noticed that there seems to be a bit of a bias in Strategic Locations (special buildings) scattered across the map. Lizard Men have a lot of special buildings in many provinces.

I captured Castle Drakenhof as Vampire Coast and there was no strategic location... that was anti-climactic. Then I once played (briefly) as High Elves and pretty much EVERY SINGLE province has a special building, I threw up in my mouth a bit at how absolutely generic and boring High Elves are, then re-rolled as Vampire Counts again. (I prefer to play races with personality, High Elves and Empire are as bland as plain white rice on white bread washed down with a glass of boiled water)

There's two very interesting special buildings for Vampire Counts, in the main Greenskin area and Imrik starting area that can make Crypt Horrors quite a fun and interesting doomstack (with a Necromancer and Strigoi Bloodline Legendary Lord attached)

Does anyone know of a mod that adds lore-friendly special buildings for certain races that are lacking them? High Elves, Dark Elves, Skaven, Lizard Men already have a hefty amount and was hoping there was something that could put the other races on par.

What personality do Vampire Counts have? They fall under every fantasy undead stereotype in the book.

The way the Lords and Heroes talk, the way the units look. It is a faction with actual weaknesses, so in my opinion it has personality.
High Elves have absolutely no weakness (in the campaign) and their Lords and Heroes all look and sound the same. That's just my opinion, I mean nothing bad by it.

Vampire Coast doesn't have many unique buildings because it's a faction that rarely ever appears in the lore.

The other ones you mentioned, High Elves and Lizardmen are, instead, 2 factions with huge influence on the warhammer story, and so it's way easier and more lore-friendly for the devs to add a lot of strategic location building chains for them, due to their many interactions with the world.

Not saying that I am against more strategic location sites for VC, it's just not really all that outrageous, imo.

Besides, there's a lot of other unique ♥♥♥♥ for them. It's not like they NEED strategic locations.

You're right, I'm wrong. I'm sorry I offended you. I'll try to rethink before I post next time. :steamhappy:

It is not that bad. But yes HE got a lot of landmarks. Vampire counts also got some new ones in the old world since game 1.
I mean if I saw a lion or an elephant and went "generic boring animal, 5/10, next pls" I mean it's the same thing. it's not about your opinion, it's simple retardation.

Problem with vampire coast is that they were never actually an official race in the tabletop, and so there´s no important settlements or provinces outside of Sartosa, the Vampire Coast and The Maelstrom.

I am. I'm truly, madly deeply sorry. I regret having said that. After you made that reply, I instantly changed my own opinion and immediately adopted your opinion. We now share the same opinion! Yay!

The internet is truly a great place. People can easily settle debates and arguments. People change their mind every single day. People even use the internet to admit when their opinion is wrong and are willing to follow what everyone else thinks; just like I did!

Peace!

Also, dude, someone on the internet actually apologized for offending you, how about showing some class, eh?

You're right. I may in fact be retarded. Again, I'm sorry for causing you all this trouble.

They talk just like most people do when trying to sound like a transylvanian vampire, most factions in warhammer fantasy are just actual european countries thrown in with just a couple actual original material,so it simply comes down to personal preference but there is hardly anything that isn't "second hand rice" in here.

Anyway, you don't get special landmarks for minor factions simply cause you aren't even supposed to get there, and if you do,there is no reason for you to have anything. Lizardmen and High Elf landmarks draw from the lore and are reasonable, zombie pirates in the empire?
