Am I supposed to Attack Alariel as Wood Elves?

I'm playing as the the wood elves, and the location I needed is already occupied by alariel. Is there some event that just gives it to you or are you supposed to just declare war.

I just thought wood elves/Alariel were on the same side or something. It doesn't matter that much, but I thought the game normally has auto confederate events and stuff like that for this kind of situation.

There is an event in game if you are playing as WE a choas stack will crush Alariels capitol.
Thing is you dont absolutely need that province.

There is at least one event in me where the Game Vale is attacked (and usually razed) by a chaos army, stating Alarielle is requesting your help together with a cooldown to the worldroots.
Probably same is possible in Vortex

Ah, I ignored that when I happened. Kinda sucks, most events arn't timed.
