Download free content

I want to play in the mortal realms, but the button just has "Download Free Content" and doesn't do anything. What am I missing?

Ok, are you trying to activate ingame, in the browser, or through the steam client?

In game through the menu. Either in the Downloadable content screen or through the Campaign menu. Neither works.

none of the free content buttons do anything, I have tried them in steam, and in the game where it says 'left click to claim free content'..it just makes a clicking sound, but nothing else happens. All of the free content behaves this way.

For what its worth I am using the 'free trial version' of WH II, is that why?

It is in my account, and I am using the paid version of the game, not the demo....

Mortal Empires will only work if you own both game 1 and 2.

not trying to play mortal enemies, trying to download the french girl. I do own WH I though, but not trying to play mortal enemies anyway, trying to download some empire content.

I've seen people in other threads say the free DLCs don't work for the free trials.

When you go in the game, and try to select the lord, does it just take you back to the store page?

No - it doesn't do anything. I'm validating the local files right now. May have to refund this if they sold me a 'demo' copy or something.

There's no option to activate - only play. The banner reads "TW:WHII is already in your Steam Library."

Same thing, click that button. It'll open the launcher, and it should be done, but you can proceed with launching the game right away to confirm.

I had big issues with this when I got the game as well, what I found worked (if I remember correctly) was to open the game the FLC is attached to; go into the in-game DLC manager, and follow those instructions to install. Restarting the game for each single FLC.
