The big difference from before is, you no longer start at war with Grimgor's Ardboyz, which means you're not starting on a back foot. Keep it that way and you're good to expand north.
Thorgrim Grudgebearer can easily go north, deal with bloody spearz, bonerattlerz, and that third orc faction. ONce that's done - the Skaven around zufbahr are optional - that area is virtually unassailable, with no natural enemies. That's 3 gold mines; a massive income base. From there you are free to expand.
The banner 'da immortulz' gives a mechanic that they can't lose figures while leadership is above a certain value. That leadership will go down as they take damage, so if they get krumped enough, they will go down - but if you get all the +leadership powers, they'll have amazing anchoring power.
Damn, and now I want to start a new Grimgor campaign. Wood elves soon though... oh well. Grimgor it is.KRUMP THOSE BEARDED GITS!
Oh they're certainly playable...until Grimgor confederates and then what?
Besides everytime an update comes balance goes for a toss and after the GS rework things are definitely in their favor. But that doesn't mean unplayable. Their campaign is certainly doable it just takes more grit and patience.
Dwarfs were a cake walk in wh1. I would rather have the current situation than that as this more more closer to lore than blue tide. Not saying it's perfect. They could use some help with rune magic. But they are certainly playable.
Also who are these weaklings who claim to be dawi players??
Impossible odds. Enemies far outnumbering allies. Fighting tooth and nail for every hold. Too stubborn/proud to give up the fight. Isn't that what dwarfs are all about in the lore?
Dwarves are fine.
Grombidal is still very easy on legendary.
That's what almost everyone on the forum keeps telling him. If he can't cheese with doomstacks, the race is unplayable.
Ergo, he's just a bad player. Ignore him.
I've literally been ambushed by skaven as Dwarfs and afk'd after clicking the fight battle button (Forgetting there's no deployment/safe time during ambushes) and come back to a victory. Granted they're not orcs but Dwarfs are probably the only faction you can afk and win.
I mean, it is already a meme on this forum.
