I don't doubt that that much. We do have a few synched animations involving monsters (looking at Mazda telepathically lifting and slamming a hydra in the ground for example) or a Carnosaur eating a human.
Looks like an in-game battle, would not be surprised if sth like this is possible.

What I wonder, I read here, that she is literally unable to leave Athel Loren. Will it get shown in game too?

I encountered a problem with Ariel in my legendary vortex campaign. She appeared on turn 32 in Ka-Sabar region near Oreon's camp, the Sisters teleported there and were fighting Imrik. None of her items were equipped or available anywhere.

Yeah cool stuff but she doesn't even spawn in my campaign, when she should. Even finished the final battle and she's nowhere. GG
